E-mail Notifications and Alerts

OVERVIEW

A variety of e-mail notifications and alerts can be configured to be automatically sent to employees and managers. This functionality can be critical to business efficiencies when managers need to know when specific project time and cost targets have been reached, or when managers and employees are required to perform certain duties such as submitting or approving time and expenses.

Available E-mail Notifications include:

  • Send e-mails to approving managers when time/expenses are awaiting their approval.

To help with getting time and expenses approved in a timely manner, two options are available when you want managers to receive e-mails when they have time to approve.

    1. Each approving manager can configure notifications so that he or she receives an instant e-mail for each submitted time or expense sheet. (Details)

    2. Configure notifications to send one periodic (batch) e-mail containing summary information for all sheets awaiting their approval. (Details)

  • Send e-mails to employees when time/expenses have been rejected by their manager.

When a manager rejects time or expenses submitted by employees, there is usually a need to have the issue quickly resolved. By instantly sending e-mails to the employees, which alert them to the rejected time/expenses, both parties (approving managers and employees) can resolve any problems in an effective manner. (Details)

  • Send e-mails to employees detailing their project assignments.

Assignment notifications inform the selected users about the projects and tasks that are assigned to them. (Details)

  • Send e-mails to employees when their timesheets are incomplete (under minimum hours).

Incomplete Timesheet Notifications alert the users when their timesheets are incomplete based on a specified number of hours. (Details)

  • Send e-mails to managers when employee timesheets are incomplete.

The Manager Incomplete Timesheet Notification alerts managers when employees have not completed their timesheets. (Details)

  • Send e-mails to employees notifying them that a time lockout period is approaching (Details). E-mails are also automatically generated when Time Lockout exceptions have been requested, approved or rejected. (Details)

  • Schedule reports to be e-mailed to employees or managers.

Automatic Reporting provides the ability to have reports automatically created and e-mailed to employees and clients on a one time or recurring basis. Reports can be e-mailed in PDF, Excel, RTF, CSV, etc. (Details)
