Free up a license

One license is used for each employee able to login and access the software. This is considered an Active employee.

An employee who is no longer using the software does not need to be deleted to allow that license to be freed. Employees, and all their data, can remain in the database without using one of your licenses . This is done by 'Deactivating' the employee.

  1. Go to the Employees view (Projects & Employees > Employees)

  2. Locate the employee whose license is to be released and click Edit.

  3. Click the Deactivate button near the bottom of the form.

When freeing up an inactive employee’s license, his/her previous time and expense entries remain available for reporting purposes.

You can see how many licenses have been purchased (registered) and how many are used by clicking the 'licenses available' link located above the employee list.
