Employee FAQs

This help page contains basic answers to common questions about employees. Complete details are located in the Employees view help topic.

 

An employee in Dovico is any person who enters time and expenses, or who manages, monitors or reports on project activities.

 

 

 

How do I...

ClosedSort the list of employees?

You can sort the list of employees by clicking on a specific column header (Name, Status, etc.). The column used for sorting is identified with a small arrow next to that column's name. You can sort up (A-Z, 0-9) or down.

 

ClosedQuickly find a specific employee?

In the Search box, type the employee's first or last name (or both) and press Enter on your keyboard.

 

ClosedInvite an employee?

    1. Click the Create Employee button located at the top of the Employees view.

    2. Enter the employee's First and Last name, along with his or her email address.

    3. With the Send invitation box checked, click the Finish button.

 

    • The employee receives an email containing login instructions.

    • At a future time, you should review the new employee's complete properties and enter additional information as required (security, hourly rates, etc..).

 

ClosedFree up a license?

    1. Locate the employee whose license is to be removed and click the Edit button.

    2. Click the Deactivate button located at the bottom of the pop-up window.

 

    • This license is now free to be assigned to another user.

    • The number of licenses available can be seen by clicking the "licenses available' link at the top of the screen.

ClosedEdit an employee's properties?

    1. Locate the employee to edit and click the Edit button.

    2. Make the necessary changes and click Apply.

ClosedPrint out a list of the employees in the view?

    1. Check the employees to print. Check the box at the very top of the column to select all employees

    2. Click the Export button located above the list of items.

    3. Select the file format (PDF, xlsx, csv, etc).

    4. Follow your browser's instruction to download/save/open the file.

    5. Print the file.

 

ClosedHow many licenses are we using?

The number of licenses purchased and available can be seen by clicking the "licenses available' link at the top of the screen.

Operational questions

ClosedDo I need to enter all this employee information now?

No. The only details required to begin are the employee's First name, Last name and email address. All other details can be entered later, if required.

 

ClosedWhere can a user change his or her own preferences.

Each employee can modify some personal preferences using the Settings view.

 

ClosedHow can I hide a deactivated employee from all the views and lists?

This is not possible at this time.

 

ClosedWhy are employees missing from the list?

Check to see if anything is written in the Search window. If there is, this means that the complete list of employees has been filtered. Click the X in the Search window to clear the filter.


Your security level and settings may remove certain employees from this list. Contact your system administrator.

 

ClosedWhere is the Delete button for employees?

WARNING: The Delete function should be used with caution because of the effects it has on existing data. Using the Deactivate function is the preferred option.

 

The Delete button is located at the very bottom of the employee form.

 

Copy an employee's assignments to another employee
